Having made the first step to decide to work overseas, you now need to secure your perfect role. The first stage is to have the best possible CV.
Selling yourself in 1 or 2 pages is not always the easiest task. However, an up-to-date CV that showcases your skills, credentials and achievements will show the recruiter that you’re the perfect fit for the job.
First and foremost, ensure that your CV is broken down into 4 main sections:
Contact details – your contact details must be at the top of your CV to ensure recruiters can contact you easily.
Profile/personal statement – write a brief introductory paragraph to grab readers’ attention and summarise your skill set in a bullet point list.
Education & credentials –this section needs to be particularly clear as many countries will do their first round of selection based on qualifications. Write out your relevant qualifications clearly, not every qualification needs to be there in minute detail.
Professional experience – list your previous work experiences with a focus on your teaching roles.
