Working in South Korea

South Korea is one of the most densely populated and technologically advanced places in the world. It is also a country of many contrasts.

The capital Seoul is a bustling, vibrant, high energy hub of 10 million residents. When you go outside of the major cities you can be find an authentic rural way of life with lush expanses of countryside, ancient Buddhist temples and traditional customs.

South Korea ranks highly on National Education league tables and teachers are often encouraged by the enthusiasm of their students. The children are as keen to learn about the way of life outside of Korea as they are to learn the subject matter that you are teaching.

Generally speaking, working in South Korea, teachers require two years post qualifying teaching experience. This is in addition to recognised teaching qualifications. This will enable the school to secure a visa for an International teaching post. The pay and benefits packages for teaching in South Korea are usually excellent.
